🏈Coach Velez began his journey at Wagner High School in Judson ISD as a secondary coach. He then had the opportunity to become the Defensive Coordinator at Veterans Memorial High School in Judson ISD. 🏈
💙 🐻Brandon and his wife, Marlese, have four children; Aubriella (6th Grade at LVJH), Tristan (2nd Grade at LV Primary), Cruz (2 years old), and Lainey (2 months old). The strong traditions that the city of La Vernia has, are traditions their children now get to experience. Both Marlese and Coach Velez are alumni of La Vernia. 💙 🐻

🎉 Our very own Leonard Knox, bus driver for La Vernia ISD, has been named the Property Casualty Alliance of Texas (PCAT) Bus Driver of the Year! 🚌🎖️ 👏👏
What's even more impressive is that Leonard was voted on by his fellow bus drivers, making this recognition even more special! 🙌 It's a true testament to his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the safety and well-being of our students. 👨👩👦👦
Leonard's friendly smile and positive attitude make our morning commutes so much better. 😊 He truly goes above and beyond his duties as a bus driver, and we are lucky to have him as part of our La Vernia ISD family. ❤️

📢We are thrilled to announce Mr. Cliff Hill as our new Director of Safety & Security.
🎓With over 14 years of experience in education, Mr. Hill brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our district. From serving as a DAEP Director to being an Offensive Coordinator, he has held various leadership roles that have prepared him for this important position. Currently, Mr. Hill is serving as the Junior High Assistant Principal at LVISD, showcasing his dedication to our students and community.
Mr. Hill also has a proud background as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. We are confident that his military experience has instilled in him the values of discipline, integrity, and commitment - all of which are crucial in maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for our students.
📚 Please join us in welcoming Mr. Hill and let's show our appreciation for his service to our country. We are honored to have him on board and look forward to the positive impact he will make on our district.
📢 We are excited to announce that La Vernia ISD is welcoming a new Junior High Principal, Mr. Bryan Caughlin.
🎓 With 19 years of experience in education, including 10 years as an administrator at various levels, Mr. Caughlin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our school. The last two years, he has served as an Assistant Principal at Samuel V. Champion High School in Boerne ISD and has now chosen to join the LVISD family.
🎓 Mr. Caughlin is a proud graduate of Baylor University and holds a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
👨👩👧👧 Not only is Mr. Caughlin committed to his career, but he is also a devoted husband to his wife, Season, who is also an educator and coach with Comal ISD. Together, they have two daughters and enjoy supporting them in all their school activities. The Caughlin's reside here in La Vernia, Texas.
