Kylie Garza, an 11th-grade cross-country and track runner, basketball player, and softball player, has battled through not one, but two ACL tears—both in less than a year. Yet, through every setback, she has refused to let adversity define her. Instead, she’s pushed forward with relentless determination, proving that true strength isn’t just about physical ability—it’s about heart, resilience, and the will to keep going.
From the miles on the cross-country course and track, to the battles on the basketball court and the diamond, she has shown what it means to never back down. With tireless rehab, unwavering commitment, and an unbreakable spirit, she has fought her way back—not just for herself, but for her teammates, her school, and the love of the game.

Friday, April 4, 2025, will be a regular school day to make up for the instructional time lost during the ice day on January 20, 2025. LVISD will utilize the first allocated inclement weather make-up day on the 2024-2025 calendar.
❗ It is crucial for all students to attend on this make-up day to ensure they do not miss important instructional time. The missed day in January impacted valuable classroom learning, and this make-up day provides the opportunity to stay on track with the curriculum and academic progress. Every day of instruction counts toward preparing students for their academic goals, so attendance on April 4th is essential.

Our non-profit La Vernia Sports Booster Club is at a critical juncture, and we urgently need your support. We are seeking dedicated and passionate parents to run for the following board positions in our upcoming elections:

Additionally, we will hold an emergency vote at our meeting on Monday, February 3rd, at 6:30 P.M. to fill the position of Vice President.
Over the past three years, the La Vernia Sports Booster Club has contributed over $120,000 in sports equipment funding and awarded over $57,000 in student-athlete scholarships. Your involvement is essential to the continued success and growth of our club.
If you have a passion for sports and want to make a positive impact on our community, we encourage you to consider running for one of these vital positions. Please attend Monday’s meeting for more details or to express your interest in running.
