The Teaching and Learning Department supports campuses through best practices in teaching and learning. Teachers use an effective, rigorous curriculum framework that incorporates the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) as a guide to providing students with the knowledge, concepts, and skills they will need to master in each of the content areas. Campuses assess student performance on a regular basis to monitor progress and adjust instructionHigh quality professional development opportunities are provided for teachers, administrators and staff, and form the basis for a well-rounded education to ensure the success of all students.

Advanced Academics

Credit By Examination Information
Information for students interested in Credit-by-Examination (CBE) for the purpose of acceleration without prior instruction is now available.   There is no charge for the tests. However, we do require a registration form to be completed by a parent/guardian and returned to the school counselor as described below.
