The La Vernia Independent School District Board of Trustees is seeking community input regarding the upcoming search process for a new Superintendent. The Board realizes a critical component of the search involves the major stakeholders such as community, parents and staff having opportunities to provide feedback. The Board will then consider this feedback during the selection process. A community forum has been scheduled for January 10th, at building 500 on the high school campus, which is the Board room. The meeting will be from 4:00-7:30pm and will be a “come and go” meeting, allowing interested parties to come and discuss characteristics and leadership qualities they feel necessary for the new Superintendent to be successful. Hopefully, this timeline will be flexible to stop by after school, after work or before dinner. In addition, starting January 10th as well, an online survey will be available on the District website. If you cannot attend the community meeting, please take just a few minutes to complete the survey and provide input electronically. Your voice is needed as the Board begins this important process.
